Caring for a Metal Ornament Tree
General Care Information Metal Ornament Trees
The Shipping Box / Storage Box and Packing Peanuts
We've asked the warehouses shipping
our products to use shipping cartons that meet UPS shipping standards and are rated by
the manufacturer to be crush resistant up to 200 lbs of pressure. If you are planning to
store your tree off-season, do not discard the shipping box or packing peanuts.
A few simple steps before you put your metal ornament tree purchased at I Love Christmas! away after the holiday season can help to keep your tree looking beautiful for many years.
Caring for your ornament tree
Keep your ornament stand, ornament tree or ornament hangers, photo frames,
pedestals, rope lights and Ornamotions clean with a gentle wipe using a soft, dry,
lint-free cloth. If you received pink or opaque bubble wrap in the box with your tree, it
is intended to keep your tree tarnish-resistant and should be used when you repack the
tree for off-season storage.
Please handle your tree with care. Our products are not overly fragile.
However, trees made from thinner wire (845- series) can lose an arm if
dropped. Your ornament tree will be easier to
clean if you disassemble it first.
Brass-Plated Ornament Tree
Most of our brass plated trees or
ornament hooks items are lacquered to prevent tarnish. Occasionally, a brass-plated tree
may get dark spots or discolorations called "pitting" from exposure to
moisture and humidity. To prevent tarnish, do not display your tree in direct sunlight
or near a source of heat. To remove those stains, gently rub with a polishing cloth or use a soft cloth dampened with a small
quantity of a fine quality metal polish that is approved for use on brass plate. Follow
the manufacturers cleaning product instructions. If you do not display your tree year
round, put the cleaned tree back in the Indestructo shipping/storage box we provided. Do
not use water when cleaning your tree or ornament tree accessories.
Chrome Plated Ornament Tree
To remove pitting on the chrome ornament tree, gently rub with a soft cloth
dampened by a small quantity of a fine quality polish that is approved for use on chrome
or chrome plate. Follow the cleaning product instructions. Or, gently rub with the
polishing cloth. You can also use a soft cloth
dampened with a small quantity of a fine quality metal polish that is approved for use
on chrome plate. If you do not display your tree year round, put the cleaned tree back
in the shipping box. Do not use water when cleaning your tree or ornament tree
accessories.
Painted Gold or Silver
Ornament Tree

the cleaned tree back in the shipping box. Do not use water when cleaning your tree or
ornament tree accessories.
Gold or Silver Glittered
Ornament Tree
Gently dust with a feather duster before storage. The glitter is attached on many of
these trees on a coating. This surface is best preserved by not storing the tree in
extremes of heat or cold. Never use water when cleaning glittered trees or ornament tree
accessories.
Silver-plated Ornament Tree
Our silver plated ornament stands and trees are lacquered and should not need
polishing. In addition, most of them include tarnish resistant tissue or tarnish
resistant bubble wrap for storage. Should your item develop dark spots called
"tarnish" or pitting from exposure to sulfur in the air it can be gently
cleaned. To remove those stains, gently rub with a polishing cloth or use a soft cloth
dampened with a tiny quantity of a fine quality silver polish that is approved for use
on silver or lacquered silver plate. Follow the instructions for your cleaning product.
If you do not display your tree year round, wrap the tree in tarnish resistant tissue
